The Noninvasive Cardiovascular Imaging Laboratory is a service organized around the evaluation of the heart and vascular systems using non-invasive techniques.   Currently, the laboratory consist of 6 members with clinical expertise in echocardiography and cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging.  Services provided include evaluations of  coronary artery disease, ventricular morphology and function, valvular morphology and function, congenital heart diseases, myocardial heart diseases, and pericardial heart diseases.

Current laboratory research include:

  • Harmonic imaging with ultrasound
  • Contrast enhanced perfusion imaging
  • Three-dimensional ultrasound imaging and reconstruction
  • Intravascular ultrasound catheter development
  • Internet-based image delivery systems
  • Magnetic resonance coronary angiography
  • Perfusion imaging in angiogenesis
  • Noninvasive oximetry with magnetic resonance imaging
  • Real-time magnetic resonance imaging
  • Magnetic resonance color flow mapping
  • Magnetic resonance atherosclerotic plaque imaging
  • Intravascular magnetic resonance imaging
