Cardiac Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia ServiceStanford University Medical Center's Cardiac Electrophysiology & Arrhythmia Service offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for patients with cardiac arrhythmia disturbances. Their complete range of services include several diagnostic monitoring techniques, an active clinical and extensive research programs, drug therapy programs, radiofrequency ablations, internal and external cardioversion, pacemaker and ICD implantation, CRT laser lead extractions and tilt table studies. Through this full spectrum of activity, the Cardiac Electrophysiology Service provides increased options to patients, including treatment plans tailored to meet the individual patient's needs. There are two dedicated and active electrophysiology laboratories supported by three full time cardiac electrophysiologists, three nurse coordinators, and eight technical nurses. The services also provides educational information to both the patient and his/her family throughout inpatient hospitalization, discharge care and outpatient services.
